The Account Manager - VIC & SA is responsible for growing our pharmacy and salon based distribution across Victoria and South Australia and to manage our relationship with existing accounts.
From a non-existent presence 4 years ago, we have established a growing footprint across Victoria and South Australia, with approximately 200 exisiting stockists, and are seeing a significant growth in sales, with significant opportunities for further growth.
This role is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for quality cosmetics and an appetite for business growth to continue to develop our brands in Victoria and South Australia.

Responsibilities
The Account Manager - VIC & SA is responsible for:
- Establishing, developing and maintaining business relationships with current and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for Cosimer’s brands (currently Mavala and SOS Talisman).
- Making telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers to demonstrate use of products, show samples and take orders.
- Identifying competitive advantages, understanding and advocating Cosimer’s sales arguments.
- Analysing the territory/market’s potential and determining the value of existing and prospective customers to the organisation in order to assess the merits of investing in such customers through visits, merchandising and or promotional material and commercial offers.
- Developing clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers, including assessing any potential commercial offer in order to maximise take-up and profitability.
- Negotiating prices, credit terms, products location, merchandising and training opportunities with current and prospective customers to maximise sales and profitability.
- Demonstrating and explaining products and promotional activities to existing/potential customers and their sales force, and assisting them in selecting those products best suited to their customers' needs.
- Expediting the resolution of customer problems and complaints through a relationship-based approach.
- Supplying management with verbal and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
- Keeping abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
Qualifications and skills
Applicants must possess a minimum of five years' relevant experience in sales roles within the beauty or pharmaceutical sector, be proficient in using customer relationship management and sales software and hold a valid driver's license.
You will be assessed on your aptitude for problem-solving, your ability to optimise solutions for customers through a consultative sales approach. To be successful, you must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, and be friendly and confident, with a strong customer focus and a good personal presentation.
Permanent full time position. Melbourne based (travel across VIC & SA required).
